Former President Donald Trump slammed the Biden administration for once again cracking down on a senior citizen who espouses conservative values.
On Thursday, according to Fox News, a jury in Washington, D.C., which gave Joe Biden 96% of its vote in 2020, convicted a 71-year-old great-grandmother who spent 10 minutes praying while inside the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6, 2021, riot.
Rebecca Lavrenz, a great-grandmother from Colorado who operates a bed and breakfast near Colorado Springs, was convicted on multiple charges.

They included entering and remaining in a restricted building, disorderly and disruptive conduct in a restricted building or grounds, disorderly conduct in a Capitol building, and parading, demonstrating, or picketing inside the Capitol.
“The whole reason I went to the Capitol was to pray,” Lavrenz told the media. “I didn’t get into this for myself, I was there to stand up for my country. God led me to go there and into the building to stand up for my First Amendment rights to petition the government for a redress of grievances.”
Scheduled for sentencing on Aug. 12, Lavrenz now faces up to a year in prison and fines topping more than $200,000.
Trump ripped the verdict and the potential sentence on his social media platform, Truth Social.
“Rebecca Lavrez, also known as the ‘J6 Praying Grandma,’ has been unfairly targeted by Crooked Joe Biden’s DOJ, and now faces up to 1 YEAR in prison for peacefully walking around the Capitol, and praying for our Failing Nation on January 6th!” Trump posted.

“Rebecca is a 72-year-old (sic) Grandmother and Small Business Owner from Colorado, and now she is one of Joe Biden’s J6 HOSTAGES!!! Crooked Joe Biden spends more time prosecuting Patriots like Rebecca, AND ME, than Violent Criminals, Thugs, Murderers, and ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS who are destroying our Country.”
“THIS IS WHAT WE ARE UP AGAINST. MAGA2024!” he added.
Fox News, citing court records, reported on Sunday that the FBI “conducted a ‘consensual interview’ with Lavrenz at her home on April 6, 2021, when she allegedly admitted to agents that she had been in Washington, D.C., to participate in the ‘Stop the Steal’ rally on the mall and followed the crowd to the U.S. Capitol building.”
“She followed the crowd streaming past the barriers and into the Capitol’s main door on the east side. As she stated, and as video footage supports, she spent about 10 minutes inside, roaming from the East center entrance to the Rotunda and back, speaking briefly with a U.S. Capitol Police officer, and exiting through the same door she entered,” Fox continued.

As the Tampa Free Press recently reported last week, Biden’s Justice Department convicted an 87-year-old Soviet concentration camp survivor, Eva Edl, of South Carolina, for violating a federal law guaranteeing access to abortion clinics.
Edl was one of 11 people singing religious hymns and praying outside a Tennessee abortion clinic in March 2021. She was charged with being part of a “blockade” as women attempted to enter the clinic.
Edl and Lavrenz fared better than Craig Robertson, a 74-year-old man from Utah who was shot and killed by FBI agents trying to serve him a warrant for allegedly threatening Biden.
Robertson, an Air Force veteran, was in frail health and used a cane to get around. He allegedly pointed a gun at agents after they used a battering ram to access his home after he refused their demands to come out.
