Former President Donald Trump was declared the winner in Arizona on Saturday night, locking in the final swing state needed to cement his sweeping Electoral College win. Arizona’s decision gives Trump 312 Electoral College votes, solidifying his decisive victory over Vice President Kamala Harris.

Arizona was the seventh and last swing state to be called, with Trump winning all but four counties: Coconino, Apache, Santa Cruz, and Pima. Maricopa County, a hotspot of electoral disputes and the site of a partisan ballot review in 2020, favored Trump by more than 78,000 votes this time around.

This marks a significant shift from 2020 when Trump lost Arizona to President Joe Biden by just over 10,000 votes.

According to the Arizona Secretary of State’s office, Trump currently leads Harris by 184,935 votes, holding a 53% to 46% advantage. However, complete results may not be finalized for another week due to the complex two-page ballots and a new election integrity law requiring polling stations to count envelopes before sending ballots for processing.

Both the Trump and Harris campaigns made Arizona a key battleground throughout the election cycle, hosting numerous rallies and deploying high-profile surrogates.

Campaign volunteers flooded Maricopa County, joining local activists to knock on thousands of doors in a final push. Many residents reported feeling overwhelmed by the constant barrage of phone calls, texts, emails, and flyers in the lead-up to Election Day.

With Arizona’s victory, Trump’s landslide win across the swing states marks a dramatic political comeback and sets the stage for his return to the Oval Office.
