Former President Donald Trump trashed the Senate’s alleged deal on illegal immigration, calling it a “monstrosity.” Meanwhile, he pledged that, as president, he would send Texas reinforcements instead of restraining orders.
Trump made the comments on Saturday at a campaign rally in Las Vegas.
The “so-called border security deal” that President Joe Biden is “gushing out and pushing out,” said Trump, is “designed to continue the invasion of America while sending billions of dollars to Ukraine and other countries.”

Trump then lashed out at the administration for its lavish spending on the war in Ukraine while allowing NATO to contribute a small fraction of that, despite the war being fought in NATO’s backyard.
On this side of the Atlantic Ocean, though, Trump argued that Biden’s open-border policies, which have brought millions of illegal immigrants into the heart of the nation, must be reversed.
“We cannot allow this to happen to our country,” he said. And the current border bill being negotiated by the Senate, which Trump dubbed “the monstrosity that we’re dealing with,” does nothing to address that.
“As the leader of our party, there is zero chance I will support this horrible open borders betrayal of America. It’s not going to happen,” Trump declared. “I will fight it all the way.”
Trump also was unrepentant as many in the Senate, including Republicans, were blaming him for blowing up the negotiations by denouncing the deal.
“I’d rather have no bill than a bad bill,” he added.

“The single greatest threat to our country right now is the people pouring into our country because we have no idea who they are,”
Trump continued.
“The fact is that if Joe Biden truly wanted to secure the border, he doesn’t really need a bill. I didn’t need a bill. I did it without a bill. I did it with the current laws. I used the Border Patrol. … It’s not that complicated.”
“All Biden needs to do isd reimpose every single border policy of the former president of the United States, Donald J. Trump.”
Trump also battered Biden for undermining Texas instead of the tidal wave of illegal immigrants.
“When I’m president, instead of trying to send Texas a restraining order, I will send them reinforcements,” Trump said. “Instead of fighting border states, I will use every resource, tool, and authority of the U.S. president to defend the United States of America from this horrible invasion that is taking place right now. There’s never been anything like it.”

“Texas will be given full support, and I will deploy all necessary military and law enforcement resources to seal up the final section of the border,” Trump declared. “Nobody to this day can explain why this open wound is good for our country.”
“We’re going to repel the invasion.”
“Crooked Joe Biden is fighting Texas to tear our beautiful border security down there,” Trump said.
“There has never been a country where millions and millions of people are able to flow in with no vetting, no checking, no nothing. “We don’t know who they are. We don’t know where they come from … and we have no idea what we’re doing with our country. Our country’s going to hell because of incompetent or bad people.”
