The MAGA Inc. PAC aligned with former President Donald Trump’s campaign scoffed at Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ plans to launch his 2024 campaign Wednesday on Twitter.

As The Free Press reported, DeSantis is set to announce his 2024 presidential campaign in a Twitter Spaces livestream with Elon Musk on Wednesday evening, according to sources.

DeSantis will speak with Musk at 6 p.m. ET on Wednesday, and the campaign will release a video formally launching the campaign.

“This is one of the most out-of-touch campaign launches in modern history. The only thing less relatable than a niche campaign launch on Twitter is DeSantis’ after party at the uber elite Four Seasons resort in Miami,” said Karoline Leavitt, spokeswoman for Make America Great Again Inc.”

“Everyday more and more Americans are realizing just how out of step Ron DeSantis is with their values and how unelectable he really is.  From his votes to cut Social Security and Medicare, to his support of a national sales tax that would raise taxes on 90% of families, to his vote in support of Obama’s TPP which sent jobs to China, to his vote against funding for President Trump’s wall, Ron DeSantis just isn’t ready to be President.  President Trump is ready on day one to turn our country around, reverse Biden’s disasterous policies and make America great again,” said Leavitt.

DeSantis is considered the most competitive challenger to former President Donald Trump for the Republican nomination. In November 2022, Musk said he would support DeSantis if he ran for president.

DeSantis recently claimed the 2024 presidential race includes only three people who are “credible” enough to get elected — and while he may be one of them, DeSantis says former President Donald Trump has only a slim chance.

And despite their open and biased contempt for Trump, DeSantis maintained that the mainstream media wants Trump to be the GOP nominee because they think President Joe Biden can beat him again, according to a Fox News report from Thursday.

DeSantis reportedly commented during a conference call to potential donors organized by Never Back Down, a political action committee that supports him.

“You have basically three people at this point that are credible in this whole thing,” DeSantis said in wooing possible backers, according to Fox News. “Biden, Trump, and me.”

“And I think of those three, two have a chance to get elected president — Biden and me, based on all the data in the swing states, which is not great for the former president and probably insurmountable because people aren’t going to change their view of him,” DeSantis added.

Apparently because of that data, DeSantis noted on the call, “The corporate media wants Trump to be the nominee.”

In response, Trump spokesman Stephen Cheung told Fox News, “Ron DeSantis is having a no good, very bad week with two devastating losses on Election Day, and letting Disney steamroll him. Everything he is saying is exactly what consultants tell candidates to manipulate and bamboozle them.”
