A poll released on Tuesday shows that former President Donald Trump is gaining support among Arab-American voters, edging out Vice President Kamala Harris as the 2024 election approaches. The Arab News/YouGov poll indicates that 45 percent of Arab-American respondents plan to vote for Trump, while 43 percent favor Harris.

The poll projects a significant turnout among Arab-American voters, with 87 percent expected to cast ballots in the upcoming election.

Additionally, 4 percent of respondents indicated they would vote for Green Party candidate Jill Stein, while 6 percent remained undecided, and 2 percent declined to disclose their choice.

One of the top concerns for Arab-American voters is the ongoing Israel-Hamas war and the broader Palestinian issue, with 29 percent citing the conflict as their primary issue. This was followed by concerns over the cost of living and the economy.

On the topic of resolving the Israel-Palestine conflict, Trump is viewed more favorably than Harris, leading her 39 percent to 33 percent.

The poll also highlights that Arab-American voters feel their participation in the election is consequential, with 80 percent of respondents believing their vote matters.

The survey, conducted between September 26 and October 1, 2024, polled 500 Arab-Americans across the U.S. and has a margin of error of +/- 5.93 percent.
