Former President Donald Trump delivered pizzas to an FDNY firehouse on 51st Street in Manhattan following his court appearance for the Alvin Bragg trial, which he has dubbed a ‘Biden trial.’
The gesture sparked mixed reactions on social media, with some praising Trump for his support of first responders and others criticizing it as a campaign stunt.
However, Trump has been known to make impromptu stops and buy food and desserts for people in the area or restaurant.
In September, Trump visited the Treehouse Pub & Eatery in Bettendorf, Iowa, where he handed out pizzas to patrons.
“Who wants one?” Trump asked the crowd as he distributed pizza boxes, took photos, and talked with supporters.
The crowd “swarmed” to Trump and greeted him with loud chants of “U-S-A,” and a rendition of Lee Greenwood’s hit “Proud to be an American.”
