A federal grand jury formally indicted former President Donald Trump Thursday following an extensive investigation spanning several months.
The indictment, filed in Federal District Court in Miami, is the first time in American history a former president has faced federal charges.
According to two sources, the seven counts against the former president include conspiracy to obstruct and willful retention of documents.

This is the second time Trump has been indicted this year. Trump pleaded not guilty in April after being charged by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg with 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in the first degree.
On Thursday, Trump’s campaign lashed out, calling this indictment “open legal warfare” by the Department of Injustice.”

By politically weaponizing the DOJ, the Biden administration and their henchmen in the Swamp are now conducting an all-out prosecution of the leader of the current administration’s political opposition.
This is un-American and wrong.
President Trump violated no laws and is being held to a different legal standard than other former Presidents and Vice Presidents. We are confident that no matter how crooked the Executive branch has become, the American justice system is resilient and will throw this case out in its entirety. If not, our cherished Constitution is in serious trouble.
