U.S. Rep. Kat Cammack predicted that the Biden administration would fuel more chaos at the southern border, now that the Supreme Court has ruled that the Trump-era “remain in Mexico” policy can be overturned.
The Gainesville Republican told Newsmax TV on Thursday that Texas state officials have been forced to pick up the slack as President Joe Biden has “fallen short” in enforcing the laws, and having “tied the hands” Border Patrol and Customs and Border Protection agents.
“This is an uncontrollable surge that we are seeing, and what we really need more than ever is a policy that the administration is willing to enforce,” said Cammack, who had recently returned from a trip to the border town of McAllen, Texas.
She called the high court’s decision a “huge blow” to law enforcement officers along the Mexican border, as well as to those who support “humane” immigration policies and believe in America’s sovereignty.
“It’s truly an invasion,” Cammack added.
Cammack then discussed the 53 illegal immigrants who were found dead in the back of a truck in Texas earlier this week — after the host played a clip of an MSNBC analyst attributing the deaths to “hateful” policies.

Those policies were the requirement for immigrants to remain in Mexico until their cases are adjudicated, and Title 42, the federal law that allows Border Patrol agents to ship illegals out of the country without a hearing because of the pandemic.
“The open-borders policies of our trafficker-in-chief … are encouraging people to come to this country illegally under the most dangerous circumstances with some of the most violent, hardened criminals,” said Cammack.
She noted that American authorities have documented illegals from 151 different nations, pushed along by the cartels that increasingly control Mexico.
“This humanitarian crisis exists all because of Biden’s open-border policy,” she added.
