LAND O’ LAKES, Fla. – A Ford F-150 has become submerged in a pond within the Land O’ Lakes subdivision Wilderness Lake Preserve.

Fire Rescue crews responded Tuesday afternoon and pulled the victim from the submerged truck and said they were evaluating the person for injuries.

A young onlooker at the scene, named Mason said to The Free Press, “I hope the person is ok, and I hope the gator that lives in that pond is ok as well.”

Florida Highway Patrol and the towing company are on the scene to extract the pickup truck from the water. Expect minor delays heading out of the neighborhood if you are heading towards the lodge area from Night Heron.
