Potential Tropical Cyclone Six is churning in the Bay of Campeche, with maximum sustained winds of 45 mph.

It’s predicted to strengthen and move northward, potentially impacting the upper Texas and Louisiana coasts by Wednesday. A Tropical Storm Watch is in effect for parts of Mexico and Texas.

Central Tropical Atlantic: Tropical Depression Likely

Another area of low pressure in the central tropical Atlantic is also exhibiting signs of organization. Conditions are favorable for further development, and a tropical depression is likely to form within the next few days. The system is currently meandering, but is expected to begin moving westward by mid-week.

Eastern Tropical Atlantic: Gradual Development Possible

A trough of low-pressure southwest of the Cabo Verde Islands is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Its development potential is currently low, but it may interact with a tropical wave later this week, creating conditions more conducive to the formation of a tropical depression.
