TREASURE ISLAND, Fla. – Get ready for a masterpiece in the making as the Sanding Ovations Masters Cup announces its 2024 theme: “The Gallery of Sand.” This year’s event will celebrate the artistry of sand sculpting, showcasing creations worthy of the finest galleries and museums.

“This year’s theme enables us to highlight the quality of sand sculptors that Sanding Ovations brings in from all over the world. These artists are world champion sculptors who create sand sculptures worthy of being in any gallery,” Sanding Ovations founder Dan Doubleday said.

Treasure Island’s signature event, Sanding Ovations, has played a key role in solidifying the city’s position as a top beach destination. This free event promises seven days of awe-inspiring sand sculptures, live music, diverse vendors, a kite festival, and a spectacular fireworks display.

“Treasure Island has one of the widest beaches on the west coast of Florida. This is a perfect setting for a gallery,” Doubleday said. “The quality of Treasure Island’s sand enables the sculptors to create very difficult, gravity-defying pieces of art.”
