TAMPA, Fla.- A routine traffic stop in Hillsborough County yesterday resulted in the arrest of a man for possession of Fentanyl, a highly potent and dangerous opioid.
On Wednesday, deputies from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop near East Adamo Drive and I-75 South after observing a red Toyota Sienna fail to stop at a ‘stop bar.’
Deputies received consent from the driver to search the vehicle and discovered narcotics and drug paraphernalia, including two small bags containing Fentanyl.
The driver, 47-year-old Dallas Russell, was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office commends the deputies for their vigilance in removing dangerous drugs from the community.
