MONROE COUNTY, Fla. – A routine traffic stop in the Florida Keys resulted in the arrest of two individuals from Pasco County, Florida, on methamphetamine trafficking charges.
On Sunday, deputies with the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office stopped a GMC pickup truck near Mile Marker 102 for expired registration. During the stop, deputies observed a pipe in the center console, prompting a search of the vehicle.

The search uncovered 2.4 ounces of methamphetamine, $2,770 in cash, a digital scale, and collections of coins and Zippo lighters.
The driver, 38-year-old Adam Thomas Montgomery of New Port Richey, and the passenger, 24-year-old Stephanie Lyn Collins of Land O’ Lakes, were both arrested and charged with trafficking methamphetamine. They also face additional drug-related charges.

Both suspects were booked into the Monroe County Jail.
