HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. – A tractor-trailer overturned at the intersection of SR-674 and US-301 on Thursday afternoon, causing significant traffic delays but leaving the driver unharmed.
According to authorities, the tractor-trailer was traveling westbound on SR-674 around 2:40 pm when the driver, a 35-year-old man from Bradenton, attempted a left turn onto US-301.
The vehicle overturned after its load shifted, coming to rest on its passenger side and blocking the northbound lanes of US-301.

The overturned vehicle caused major traffic disruptions, with northbound lanes of US-301 remaining closed for several hours as crews worked to clear the scene. Despite the dramatic nature of the incident, the driver escaped without injury.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the circumstances surrounding the load shift that caused the tractor-trailer to overturn. Drivers in the area were advised to use alternative routes while the scene was cleared.
