You may need to stay with your family or find a hotel. Jobs like this can sometimes cause a lot of disruption, especially if the work gets delayed for any reason.
Finally, getting around to getting work booked in? You need to think about what to look for in a construction contractor. It will be someone who is in your home for a long period of time so it is important that you feel they are friendly and you feel safe with them in your home when you are not there. Also, it is important to look at online reviews, this will tell you how they did in their past jobs so you can know what to expect. You can also think about word of mouth. It would be good to speak to friends and family and see if there is anyone they will be able to recommend as you know that they wouldn’t recommend anyone bad to you.
Renovations can be time-consuming and very costly so it is important to think long and hard about what you want to be changed as it will be like that for a long time once it has been done. You will be able to change colours and patterns but not structures.
