Democratic Gov. Tim Walz of Minnesota claimed during a Friday interview that voters didn’t need to be concerned about how Vice President Kamala Harris differs from President Joe Biden.

Walz was interviewed by WPVI anchor Brian Taff during a campaign swing through five states that included the crucial battleground state of Pennsylvania. Taff asked Walz to provide details on the key differences between Harris and Biden, but instead Walz attacked former President Donald Trump.

“The difference between Kamala Harris and Joe Biden is not what [voters] need to be concerned with,” Walz told Taff. “They need to be concerned with a Donald Trump who has said he would be a dictator on day one.”

Trump currently leads Harris by 0.1% in polls of Pennsylvania voters from Sept. 19 to Oct. 10, according to the RealClearPolling average. Harris leads the former president by 0.2% when independent candidate Cornel West, Green Party candidate Dr. Jill Stein and Libertarian Chase Oliver are included as options in the surveys.

Harris has struggled to describe how her presidency would differ from Biden’s in the few interviews she has granted since President Joe Biden announced he would end his reelection bid July 21. She did an interview with “60 Minutes” Monday, in addition to interviews on Tuesday with shock jock Howard Stern, the co-hosts of “The View” and CBS late-night host Stephen Colbert.

Harris has backed away from left-wing positions she held during her campaign for the 2020 Democratic Party nomination for president primarily through statements by campaign aides to reporters. Her campaign posted an “issues” section on its website, but it appeared to be a cut-and-paste from the campaign site for Biden’s reelection bid.
