TAMPA, Fla. – A traffic stop in Tampa led to the arrest of a motorcycle club member with a history of criminal activity.

On Friday night, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over 45-year-old Aaron Muniz, a known member of the “Thug Riders” motorcycle club, near the intersection of Nebraska Avenue and Fowler Avenue.

A search of Muniz revealed a loaded firearm, a knife, five small bags of cocaine, and metallic knuckles. Muniz is a convicted felon with prior drug charges and a suspended driver’s license.

After briefly resisting arrest, Muniz was taken into custody.

“Our deputies’ attention to detail and quick response have once again removed a dangerous individual, along with illegal drugs, from our community,” said Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Each traffic stop is an opportunity to make our roads and neighborhoods safer.”
