CLEARWATER, Fla. – Clearwater Police are currently investigating a three-vehicle crash that occurred on the Courtney Campbell Causeway in the westbound lanes this morning. The incident, which involved a Clearwater Police officer, took place at approximately 5:30 a.m.
According to authorities, one individual involved in the collision was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital as a trauma alert.

The Clearwater Police officer involved in the crash was also taken to a local hospital, Morton Plant Hospital, to be evaluated for what are described as minor injuries.
As a result of the crash, the westbound lanes of the Courtney Campbell Causeway remain closed to traffic at this time. Motorists are advised to seek alternative routes and expect delays in the area.
