Three people were killed early this morning in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 275 in Manatee County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 3:17 a.m. near mile marker 1. A pickup truck traveling southbound veered off the roadway, entered the median, and collided with a utility pole. The truck caught fire after the impact.
Tragically, the driver and two passengers were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities are working to identify the victims.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. It is unknown at this time whether seatbelts were worn.
