Three Florida Lottery Scratch-Off Players Claim Combined $7,000,000 Last Week

The Florida Lottery announced three lottery scratch-off jackpot winners last week, for a combined total of $7,000,000 in winnings.

On Monday, the Florida Lottery announced that Chevett Underwood, 50, of Lake City, claimed a $1 million prize from the 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s Gainesville District Office.

She chose to receive her winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000.00.

Underwood purchased her winning ticket from The Other Store, located at 3221 West U.S. Highway 90 in Lake City. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

Also, on Monday, Robert Shipley, 61, of West Melbourne, claimed a $1 million prize from the 500X THE CASH Scratch-Off game at the Lottery’s West Palm Beach District Office. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $820,000.00.

Shipley purchased his winning ticket from Sunshine Food Mart, located at 3990 West New Haven Avenue in Melbourne. The retailer will receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

It was a quiet week until Friday when a big winner came forward claiming $5,000,000.

James Whittington, of Mexico Beach, claimed a $5 million top prize from the $5,000,000 CASHWORD Scratch-Off game at Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee. He chose to receive his winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $3,915,000.00.
