President Joe Biden has trash-talked his predecessor for not doing enough to build up America’s infrastructure – although, in fairness to former President Donald Trump, no bridges in major cities collapsed on his watch.

However, one piece of expensive infrastructure that Joe the Builder built is turning into an epic failure.

According to multiple reports, pro-Hamas residents of Gaza have swiped tons of humanitarian aid that is being delivered into the Gaza Strip via a $320 million pier that the U.S. military built for unloading ships in the Mediterranean Sea.

PJ Media reported on Tuesday that only a “tiny trickle” of aid has actually reached United Nations warehouses in the region.

Just 10 truckloads arrived at the site on Friday, and another five followed on Saturday.

In contrast, Palestinian thieves “cleaned out” 11 other truckloads making their way from the pier to the warehouse.

The situation was so bad that deliveries were called off on Sunday and Monday.

“They’ve not seen trucks for a while,” an unnamed UN official said. “They just basically mounted on the trucks and helped themselves to some of the food parcels.”

“We need to make sure that the necessary security and logistical arrangements are in place before we proceed,” the UN official added.

The Tampa-based U.S. Central Command reports that 569 metric tons of aid has been delivered to the pier.

“The United States, United Kingdom, UAE, European Union, and many other partners have donated this humanitarian assistance,” the command said on X on Monday. “The pier is a temporary solution to surge humanitarian assistance to Gaza to meet the urgent needs of the Palestinian people.”

Yet it’s not getting to them because of bandits.

According to Townhall.com, Pentagon spokesman Air Force Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder told reporters on Tuesday that because of “safety and security concerns” for the delivery drivers, the U.S., Israel, and the U.N. seek to “identify alternative routes” to ship the aid inland.

He declined to say exactly how much of the aid actually got to those needy Palestinians.

But the 26 trucks that ventured into Gaza so far is a far, far cry from the 90 trucks a day the Pentagon predicted would make the runs — as the shipments would increase to a projected 150 trucks a day.

“This is a combat zone and it is a complex operation,” Ryder explained. “We’ve been very clear from the beginning that we were going to take a crawl, walk, run approach.”

Townhall noted that when Ryder was asked specifically if any of the 569 tons of aid had actually reached the people it was intended for, the general replied, “As of today, I do not believe so.”
