Throughout the investigation, undercover detectives with Lee County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit, purchased trafficking amounts of Fentanyl from Stephanie Proffitt, 34, at her home, located at 2341 Leavitt Road in Alva. Narcotics and Gang Unit detectives executed a search warrant at Proffitt’s residence.

Inside of the camper detectives located 14.8 grams of Fentanyl. They continued the search inside of the home on the property and located an additional 595.5 grams of Fentanyl.
Detectives also seized several firearms, one of which was stolen.
At the conclusion of the investigation, Stephanie Profitt was charged with 3 counts of Trafficking Fentanyl, and Misty Proffitt was charged with 1 count of Trafficking Fentanyl and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
“If you deal drugs in my county, it is not a matter of IF, but WHEN you go to jail,” stated Sheriff Carmine Marceno. “I have an incredible team that never stops, and we will work to keep Lee County safe.”
“There is no room for thugs with guns and drugs in Lee County,” said Marceno. “I could not be more proud of the results from this Narcotics investigation. My team’s hard work is the reason trafficking amounts of Fentanyl have been removed from our streets, and two drug dealers are behind bars.”
