LAND O’ LAKES, Fla.- On September 14, 2007, at approximately 3:00 PM, a customer found Lee Johns, lying deceased in the scrap yard that he owned.
Johns had been shot, and several personal items had been removed from his body. The scrapyard was located at 18145 State Road 52, Land O’ Lakes.
Police say that witnesses recall seeing Johns having lunch around 1 P.M. that day and arguing with someone between the hours of 1 P.M. and 3 P.M. that day.
Lee Johns had been operating Park Auto Salvage for over 20 years and was known to have cash on him from time to time. He was very well known in the Land O’ Lakes area.
Someone knows what happened to Lee Johns, and with social sharing and digital media, putting Lee Johns back into the public eye may help someone remember and come forward.
