TAMPA, Fla. – The Cake Girl, a minority-owned bakery known for its delectable treats and community spirit, is launching its 2nd Annual “Fill the Van” initiative to spread holiday cheer to local foster children and veterans.
Led by renowned baker and community advocate Kristina Lavallee, the campaign aims to surpass last year’s impressive collection of $8,000 in donations. This year, The Cake Girl is partnering with Rustic Love Vintage and More, another minority-owned family business, to maximize their impact.
“Every donation, whether a toy, gift card, or monetary contribution, plays a vital role in creating an unforgettable holiday for families in need,” said Lavallee.
How to Participate:
- Drop off donations: Unwrapped gifts and gift cards can be dropped off at The Cake Girl (14851 N Dale Mabry Hwy) or Rustic Love Vintage and More (13717 N Dale Mabry Hwy) until Saturday, December 14th.
- Enjoy special thank-yous: Donors to The Cake Girl will receive a FREE 4-pack of mini cupcakes, while donors to Rustic Love will receive 15% off their purchase this week only.
- Contribute financially: Monetary donations can be made online, with 100% of the proceeds going towards supporting foster children and veterans.
- Request assistance: Families in need can email info@thecakegirl.com to share their stories and be considered for assistance.
