Joshua Ruben Olivencia, a 34-year-old from Killeen, Texas, has been sentenced to 264 months (22 years) in federal prison for his role in a conspiracy to smuggle methamphetamine into the United States from Mexico.

The conspiracy unraveled on August 1, 2020, when Olivencia and his co-conspirators were arrested at a Del Rio hotel. Customs and Border Protection officers had intercepted 7.86 kilograms of meth hidden within the door panels of a vehicle driven by Bibiana Ira Ortiz.

  • Jimmie Troy Palmer III: Sentenced to 300 months in prison.
