A man from Texas has been arrested for allegedly making terroristic threats against U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem and federal law enforcement officers.
Robert King was taken into custody in McKinney, Texas, after authorities said he threatened to “open fire” on U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and Secretary Noem.
Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) announced King’s arrest on Wednesday, describing his social media post as “alarming.” Authorities have confirmed that King is a U.S. citizen.

According to local media reports, a DHS spokesperson stated that King’s post on social media referred to Secretary Noem as a Nazi.
These threats occur within a context of heightened tensions surrounding the Trump administration’s policies on illegal immigration, which have sparked public protests and, in some instances, calls for violence against federal law enforcement.

Secretary Noem issued a statement on Sunday in response to such threats, warning against any attempts to harm law enforcement. “If you threaten or attempt to harm a law enforcement officer, we will find you and prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law,” she wrote.
As the Tampa Free Press reported, some social media users have incited violence against ICE agents, citing a TikTok video that urged viewers to “shoot them on sight” if ICE agents attempt to arrest individuals or their loved ones.
