A man from Honduras, accused of kidnapping a woman from her Texas apartment on Christmas Eve and threatening to sell her organs is in custody in Oklahoma, facing multiple charges in both Oklahoma and Texas.
The terrifying ordeal began around 4:45 AM on Christmas Eve in Haltom City, Texas, when a 22-year-old woman was leaving her apartment complex on her way to work. Police say she was approached by a masked man armed with a gun who forced her into the backseat of her own car and made her withdraw money from an ATM.

The suspect, identified as 35-year-old Eduardo Javier Ordonez Godoy, then drove the victim’s car approximately 22 miles to the Camden Apartments at 3900 Grapevine Mills Parkway in Grapevine, where she was briefly restrained. She managed to escape, while the suspect fled in her vehicle.
The victim was able to contact police, providing a description of her car and her kidnapper. The stolen vehicle was entered into law enforcement databases, with a note highlighting the violent nature of the crime.
Less than 24 hours later, Godoy was arrested in Oklahoma City after an alert patrol officer spotted the stolen vehicle in a parking lot. Godoy was found inside the vehicle and taken into custody. Evidence related to the kidnapping was also recovered.

Haltom City detectives traveled to Oklahoma City to interview Godoy. After being read his Miranda rights, he confessed to his involvement in the kidnapping.
According to arrest affidavits, Godoy drove around with the victim for an hour, making chilling threats to “sell her organs” or “prostitute her.”
Godoy also admitted to tying the victim’s hands to a tree using her shoelace. He claimed his motive was simply to obtain money, but detectives were struck by his demeanor during the interview.
“He smirked a lot, he giggled, and, you know, was almost proud of what he did,” Haltom City Police Sgt. Rick Alexander said to local FOX 4.

Police say Godoy has a history of similar crimes and has previously been deported to Honduras.
“He claims he’s just a thief. He wants money,” said Alexander. “But, you know, in this case, clearly he went beyond that and brought a firearm into it.”
Godoy is currently facing multiple charges in Oklahoma, including felony and misdemeanor offenses. He is also facing aggravated kidnapping and aggravated robbery charges in Haltom City. Due to his immigration status, Godoy has an ICE detainer.
