Chasity Burns was recently granted a dream from the Sunshine Foundation for a family trip to Central Florida’s Theme Parks Chasity lives with the challenges of having spastic diplegic cerebral palsy, a form of cerebral palsy that causes muscle stiffness and spasms in a person’s legs and, sometimes, arms.
“Chasity and the rest of the family thoroughly enjoyed our trip to Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort in Orlando, Florida. Chasity especially enjoyed the rides. This was her first time traveling on a plane since she was about 2 years’ old, and she did so well. I am considering more trips for her. Due to her behavior, she doesn’t always get to enjoy activities like this. Sunshine Foundation has opened a door for her to walk through, she was all smiles and exhausted when we left. It was the best birthday gift!” said Chasity’s mother, Emon, of Houston, Texas.
Sunshine Foundation answers dreams to children with life-long severe, chronic illnesses and conditions such as: spina bifida, cerebral palsy, level 3 severe autism, Down syndrome, hydrocephalus, severe epilepsy, Sickle Cell Disease, blindness, deafness, trauma from abuse, and others.

To make these dreams a reality for children that may be turned away from other wish-granting organizations that require a life-threatening or critical diagnosis, Sunshine Foundation relies on the generosity of individuals, organizations, and corporations. Chasity’s “Dream Come True” was made possible through generous donations using Facebook fundraisers online.
