A Texas man who flew to Florida was arrested after stealing a $177K Bentley from a home and telling police he was going to make payments.

According to Martin County Sheriff’s Office, 45-year-old Ronald Bordelon, a self-proclaimed barber at “P’s Chop Shop” was working when he received a call that his dream car was available in Florida.

Bordelon told deputies that he “wrapped up a cut, crafted a deal, and jumped on a flight to Florida.”

“His story had some holes though, and Ronald had some problems. He couldn’t say who called him, who he bought it from, or where he bought it. It seems it was just given to him by a real-life Bentley fairy who agreed to let him make payments,” said MCSO.

Bordelon also had no payment details to provide authorities.

“So we helped him fill in those holes with the real story of the Bentley,” said MCSO. “The high-end vehicle, valued at $177,000, was stolen from a home on Jupiter Island, the VIN number was covered by tape and the temporary plate was invalid.”

“The driver at the time of the traffic stop, Ronald Bordelon is not, was not, and is not likely to be the future owner of this car,” said MCSO. “In a nutshell, Ronald Bordelon’s trip back to “P’s Chop Shop” was going to be Bentley-less and chopped a little short.”

Ronald Bordelon was arrested and charged with Grand Theft Auto/over $100,000. This is the second stolen high-end vehicle recovered in Martin County in weeks, deputies say.
