A Tennessee couple was arrested in Florida on Friday after being found in possession of a stolen vehicle.
On March 14th, at approximately 1 PM, Polk County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO) deputies located a stolen white 2009 Nissan Murano traveling on Church Avenue in Mulberry. Deputies initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Fort Green Road and Streamsong Road near Bowling Green.

The vehicle’s occupants were identified as 40-year-old Aaron Waters and 35-year-old Brooke Leon, both from Dunlap, Tennessee. The Nissan Murano, also from Tennessee, had been reported stolen to the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
During the investigation, deputies discovered that Leon had two active warrants from Tennessee. However, Tennessee authorities declined to extradite her.

Despite this, both Waters and Leon were arrested and taken to the Polk County Jail. They were charged with Motor Vehicle Theft, Possession of Marijuana, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
