TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. – The Temple Terrace Police Department (TTPD) is investigating an apparent murder-suicide that occurred at a residence in the 12200 block of N. 53rd Street.
On January 27, 2025, at approximately 12:30 p.m., officers responded to a well-being check at the residence. Upon arrival, officers found the home secured and were initially unable to make contact with anyone inside.

After gaining entry, they discovered two deceased individuals, an 85-year-old woman and a 90-year-old man, both with gunshot wounds.
Detectives are currently working to determine the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident. Preliminary information suggests a murder-suicide, and the TTPD has indicated there is no ongoing threat to the community.
