RIDGE MANOR, Fla. – The Hernando County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) is actively investigating the death of a juvenile female in Ridge Manor, which is believed to be the result of homicidal violence.
The teenager’s body was discovered on Thursday, March 27, 2025, at approximately 9:35 a.m. A passerby found the body off Ridge Manor Boulevard, near Cypress Lake Preserve.
Detectives from the Major Case Unit have been diligently working on the case since the discovery of the victim. The victim’s next of kin has been notified.

Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office is not releasing any additional details at this time.
The HCSO is urging anyone with information about this incident to call the Sheriff’s Office at 352-754-6830 and ask to speak to Detective J. Mitro.
