It appears the Pentagon is not the only federal agency willing to offer taxpayer-funded transitions for members of the LGBTQ brigades. The Federal Bureau of Prisons also can accommodate inmates seeking to become the opposite sex with “gender-affirming care.”
The conservative website JustTheNews.com reported last week that the Biden administration in June issued new rules to the BOP for handling prisoners claiming to be transgender and demanding sex-change treatments.
The procedures available to inmates include breast augmentations or implants, clitorectomies, mastectomies, hysterectomies, penis or testicle removal, and penis or scrotum construction.

The government also offers hormone therapies, laser hair removal, and even voice training.
In addition, the Biden administration’s guidance to wardens notes that surgery may not be “medically necessary” in all cases, but then again multiple procedures may be necessary to address an inmate’s “gender dysphoria/incongruence.”
And prisoners who don’t believe they are receiving the appropriate “care” at their current facility may request a transfer to a “gender-affirming institution.”
The gender swap is an automatic, available-upon-request process, the BOP guidelines note.
Just The News reported that each request to transition goes before the Transgender Utilization Review Advisory Group, a committee composed of a pharmacist, psychiatrist, primary care physician and social worker. Before fully proceeding, applicants must also submit to an assessment by a mental health professional and may be required to undergo hormone therapy and live as their “identified gender” for at least a year.
The BOP document was released last week by the conservative Heritage Foundation’s Oversight Project, which obtained it through a public records request.
On X (formerly Twitter), the Oversight Project also noted that the BOP created a glossary of terms to help the prison system, although one definition was conspicuously missing.

“Biden’s Prisons have a long list of definitions for this gender-bending space, but don’t have a definition for woman,’ consistent with Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s inability to articulate a definition for the ancient term,” the group said on X.
In response, Oversight Project Director Mike Howell told Just the News, “Prisoners go to jail because they commit crimes and owe a debt to society. Society doesn’t owe them taxpayer-funded sex changes and things as absurd as facial hair removal treatments.”
“We have been investigating this disturbing prison-to-trans pipeline and have also discovered that transgender prisoners account for a disproportionately high amount of sex crimes. It’s truly revolting what the Biden Administration signed us all up to fund,” Howell added.
