PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – A Tarpon Springs woman is dead after a crash on US-19 Monday that happened around 7:30 pm
Troopers say a Hyundai Sonata, driven by an 82-year-old Tarpon Springs woman, was traveling southbound on US-19.
At the intersection of Colonial Boulevard, the woman turned left into the path of a BMW 740i driven by a 17-year-old Palm Harbor male.

The BMW struck the Hyundai.
The woman was transported to an area hospital but later died from injuries suffered during the crash. The driver of the BMW was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
