TAMPA, Fla. – A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday night on Nebraska Avenue, just north of Fowler Avenue.
The incident occurred around 10:05 pm when an unidentified adult male attempted to cross the highway and walked into the path of a southbound Mercedes sedan driven by a 28-year-old Tampa woman. The pedestrian suffered fatal injuries at the scene.

The driver and three passengers in the Mercedes were unharmed in the collision.
Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash. It is unclear whether factors such as speed or visibility played a role in the tragic incident.
