Tampa Woman Dies In Intersection Crash On West 122nd And North Florida Avenue

TAMPA, Fla. – A 65-year-old Tampa woman died following a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of West 122nd Avenue and North Florida Avenue on Tuesday morning.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) report, the woman was driving a Nissan Versa eastbound on West 122nd Avenue at approximately 8:49 a.m. At the same time, a 54-year-old Tampa man was driving a Toyota Tundra southbound on North Florida Avenue.

The FHP report indicates that the driver of the Nissan Versa failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection, entering the path of the Toyota Tundra. The two vehicles collided.

The 65-year-old woman driving the Nissan Versa was transported to a local hospital, where she later died from injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the Toyota Tundra reported no injuries.
