TAMPA, Fla. – Starting at 9 a.m. today, parking spaces on East Washington Street between North Marion Street and North Florida Avenue will be closed as the Tampa Water Department prepares for upcoming maintenance on the water distribution system. The entrance to the nearby parking structure will remain open.
Barricades and signs will be in place to direct traffic. Drivers are advised to consider alternate routes and use caution in the area.

This initial phase of work is expected to be completed by 5 p.m. today, at which time normal traffic patterns will resume. However, the Tampa Water Department will need to return at a later date for additional work. An update will be provided closer to that time.
