South Rome Avenue

Also, beginning at 9 a.m. today, the outside southbound lane on South Rome Avenue will be closed between West Jetton Avenue and West Waterous Avenue.

This closure is due to a water main break that the Tampa Water Department is working to repair. Barricades and flaggers will be present to assist with traffic flow. The lane will reopen at 5 p.m. each day and then close again the following morning at 9 a.m. until the work is completed, which is expected by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3rd.

The Tampa Water Department appreciates the public’s patience and understanding as they work to maintain and improve the city’s water infrastructure. Motorists are reminded to drive cautiously and allow extra travel time in these areas.
