TAMPA, Fla. – Motorists in Tampa should anticipate lane closures on West Columbus Drive today as the Tampa Water Department conducts roadway restoration.
Beginning at 9:00 AM, the outside westbound lane of West Columbus Drive will be closed between North Tampania Avenue and North Habana Avenue. This closure is necessary to allow crews to complete a permanent restoration following previous work on the water distribution system.

Barricades and signs will be in place to assist with rerouting and traffic flow. Drivers are encouraged to consider alternate routes to avoid potential delays.
The restoration work is expected to be completed by 5:00 PM today, at which time the lane will be reopened to normal traffic flow. However, restoration schedules may be adjusted depending on weather conditions.
The Tampa Water Department reminds drivers to exercise caution when traveling through the work zone and be mindful of crews and equipment.
