Tampa Traffic Alert: Water Main Break Closes West Leona Street

TAMPA, Fla. – A water main break in Tampa has forced the full closure of West Leona Street between South Grady Avenue and South Church Avenue.

The closure began at 9:00 AM today as crews from the Tampa Water Department work to repair the broken water main. Barricades and signs have been placed in the area to direct traffic.

Drivers are advised to use caution in the area and seek alternate routes to avoid delays. Modifications to the closure may be necessary as work progresses.

The Tampa Water Department expects repairs to be completed and the road reopened by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, January 8th. However, the work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions.
