Tampa Traffic Alert: Water Department Maintenance To Cause Lane And Road Closures

TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa drivers should be aware of upcoming lane closures and a full road closure due to maintenance work by the Tampa Water Department.

Beginning at 9 a.m. today, the northbound lane on South Himes Avenue will be closed between West Watrous Avenue and West Jetton Avenue. Crews will be conducting maintenance on the water distribution system.

Also starting at 9 a.m., the outer eastbound lane of West Lambright Street will be closed between Piccadilly Court and North Woodlynne Avenue. This closure is necessary to repair a water main break. The lane closure is anticipated to last until 5 p.m. on Friday, March 7th.

Barricades and flaggers will be in place to assist with traffic flow. Drivers are urged to use caution in the area. The lane closure is expected to be in effect until 5 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5th.

Full Road Closure on West Azeele Street:

Also starting at 9 a.m. today, all lanes of West Azeele Street will be closed between South Cooper Place and South Trask Street for water distribution system maintenance.

Barricades and signs will be posted to reroute traffic. Drivers should exercise caution in the area. This full road closure is anticipated to last until 5 p.m. on Friday, March 7th.
