Beginning today, March 24, 2025, the outside southbound lane of South Falkenburg Road will be closed between Horace Avenue and Elizabeth Place. The Tampa Water Department is conducting maintenance on the water distribution system in the area.

The lane closure will be in effect from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily. All lanes will reopen to traffic by 4:00 p.m. each day, but the closure will resume the following morning at 9:00 a.m. to continue the work.

The Tampa Water Department expects the work to be completed and normal traffic patterns to resume by 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 27th. However, the department notes that they may need to return at a later date to complete additional work, and an update will be provided if that becomes necessary. Work schedules are contingent upon weather conditions.
