TAMPA, Fla. – Drivers in Tampa should be aware of a full road closure on North Central Avenue starting at 8 a.m. today. The closure will affect the section between East Forest Avenue and East Gladys Street.
The Tampa Water Department is undertaking emergency repairs to a water main break, necessitating the closure. Barricades and signs will be in place to redirect traffic.
Motorists are urged to exercise caution when traveling in the area and to expect potential delays. Modifications to the closure may be necessary as the repair work progresses.
The Tampa Water Department anticipates the repairs will be completed, and normal traffic flow will resume by 5 p.m. on Friday, January 31st. The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions.
The Tampa Water Department appreciates the public’s patience during this time.
