TAMPA, Fla. – Drivers in Tampa should be aware of several road closures starting today due to water main repairs and maintenance by the Tampa Water Department.
Lane Closure on East 21st Avenue:
Beginning at 9 a.m., the westbound lane on East 21st Avenue will be closed between Sanchez Street and North 16th Street. Westbound traffic will be shifted to the center turn lane to maintain two-way traffic flow. The closure is expected to last until 4 p.m. on Monday, February 10th.

Full Road Closure on South Himes Avenue:
Also starting at 9 a.m., South Himes Avenue will be closed between West Marlin Avenue and West Gandy Boulevard. This full closure is expected to last until 4 p.m. on Friday, February 7th.
Full Road Closure on North 22nd Street:
Starting at 9 a.m., North 22nd Street will be closed between East Lake Avenue and East 29th Avenue. This full closure is expected to last until 5 p.m. on Monday, February 10th.
Drivers should use caution in the affected areas, expect potential delays, and consider alternate routes. The Tampa Water Department may need to return at a later date to complete additional work, in which case an update will be provided. Work schedules are subject to change due to weather conditions.
