TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa drivers should be aware of a full road closure on East Columbus Drive starting today due to maintenance work by the Tampa Water Department.
Beginning at 9 a.m. this morning, all lanes on East Columbus Drive will be closed between North 19th Street and North 18th Street. Crews will be conducting maintenance on the water distribution system.
Barricades and signs will be in place to assist with traffic flow and rerouting. Drivers are strongly encouraged to consider alternate routes and exercise caution when traveling in the area.

The full road closure is expected to be in effect until 4 p.m. on Friday, March 7th. However, the Tampa Water Department may need to return at a later date to complete additional work, in which case an update will be provided.
Work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. The Tampa Water Department appreciates the public’s patience and understanding during this maintenance work.
