TAMPA, Fla. – Motorists traveling on South MacDill Avenue should be aware of an extended lane closure due to ongoing maintenance on the Tampa Water Department’s water distribution system.
Originally scheduled for a shorter duration, the outside northbound lane of South MacDill Avenue, between West Fountain Boulevard and West Parkland Boulevard, will remain closed until 5 PM on Thursday, March 20, 2025. The closure, which began at 9 AM today, March 17th, is necessary for the Tampa Water Department to conduct essential maintenance.

Barricades and flaggers are on-site to assist with traffic rerouting and ensure smooth traffic flow. Drivers are strongly advised to consider alternate routes and exercise caution when traveling in the area.
