TAMPA, Fla. – The Tampa Water Department has a temporary lane closure on West Waters Avenue to facilitate maintenance work on the water distribution system.
As of 9:00 a.m. today, Wednesday, the eastbound outside lane will be closed to vehicle traffic between North Habana Avenue and North Armenia Avenue.
Officials with the Water Department have put up barricades and signs to help direct traffic through the single open lane.

Motorists are being urged to find alternate routes if possible to avoid potential backups in the area. Drivers who must travel through the zone are asked to proceed with caution and pay close attention to the changed traffic patterns.
Work is expected to finish by 5 PM Friday, weather permitting.
