TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa drivers should be aware of a lane closure on West Kennedy Boulevard scheduled for today.
Starting at 9 a.m. this morning, the outside westbound lane on West Kennedy Boulevard will be closed between UT Poe Parkway and North Brevard Avenue. This closure is necessary for the Tampa Water Department to perform maintenance on the water distribution system.
Barricades and signs will be in place to assist with traffic flow and rerouting. Drivers are encouraged to consider alternate routes and use caution when driving in the area.

The lane closure is expected to be in effect until 4 p.m. today, March 7th. However, work schedules may change depending on weather conditions.
