Tampa Traffic Alert: Lane Closure On South Falkenburg Road For Water Department Repairs

TAMPA, Fla. – A lane closure is in effect today on South Falkenburg Road to facilitate permanent road restoration work by the Tampa Water Department.

Starting at 9 a.m., the outside southbound lane of South Falkenburg Road will be closed between Horace Avenue and Elizabeth Place. This closure is necessary for the Tampa Water Department to complete a more permanent restoration following previous maintenance work on the water distribution system in the area.

Traffic flow in the area will be managed with barricades and signs. Drivers are urged to exercise caution while traveling through the affected zone.

The Tampa Water Department anticipates that the road restoration activities will be completed and the road reopened to normal traffic flow by 4 p.m. today. However, the schedule is subject to change depending on weather conditions.
