TAMPA, Fla. – Motorists in Tampa should anticipate delays on Interbay Boulevard due to a lane closure for water maintenance.
Starting at 9 a.m. today, December 10th, the westbound lane of Interbay Boulevard will be closed between South 3rd Street and South MacDill Avenue. This closure will allow the Tampa Water Department to perform necessary maintenance on the water distribution system.

Barricades and flaggers will be in place to direct traffic and assist with rerouting. The lane will reopen at 5 p.m. each day but will be closed again the following morning at 9 a.m. to allow crews to continue their work.
The project is expected to be completed by 5 p.m. on Friday, December 13th, with normal traffic patterns resuming at that time. However, the work schedule may be impacted by weather conditions.
Drivers are urged to exercise caution when traveling in the area and to allow for extra travel time.
